“necomimi”, the first neurowear-based project is finally set for commercial launch in Japan.
necomimi will be available for presale on the next NicoNico Summit, to be held on April 28/29 at the Makuhari Messe.
We received many requests for a commercial release of necomimi after we unveiled the concept model in April 2011. After a process of thorough testing and prototyping, we are now ready to meet your expectations.
The commercial version of necomimi brings the following improvements and refinements to the initial concept model.
- All you need is the necomimi unit and 4 batteries
necomimi operates as a standalone device. There is no need for a smartphone or tablet to make it work.
- 4 hours of battery life in continuous use with 4 AAA batteries
- Includes a supportive strap to prevent necomimi from slipping.
- The ears are exchangeable. You can exchange them anytime to fit your mood or personality.
